According to the news published on May 1, 2007, on the site of the World Alliance of ACMS (www.ymca.int), the 17th World Council of YMCA (World Council of YMCAs) will be held in the city of Hong Kong - China, in 2010.

The event that occurs every four years has the intention to establish guidelines for the work of the YMCA in the world. After 20 years, the event will again be hosted in Asia, a fact that is mentioned with joy in the words of the Secretary General of the World Alliance - Bart Shaha. In his words, Bart says that the movement Acemista the region of Asia and the Pacific has added greatly to the global movement through the programs developed to reaffirm the values of our institution.

The decision taken by the members of the executive committee of the World Alliance, in a recent meeting held in Genova, recommends that the Challenge 21 is the focus of the event, and that way we can continue to strengthen communities and plan for the future through the mutual development of our leaders volunteers and professionals.
